This weekend is certainly a busy one for us at Bass Ache HQ, we’re putting on two parties and a radio show. Thursday is our residency at the Bank of Stokes Croft in Bristol, whilst for the first time we will be on the FM airwaves and streamed online on Friday night.
Now approaching it’s third birthday, the ever impeccable Bristol club night Crazylegs are putting on a party to celebrate. Arkist has gained a lot of attention over the last two years with a number of releases, notably a 12″ on Applepips and a collaborative 12″ with Kidkut on Hotflush. This Bristol based producer has an eye for 2-step garage, low swung sub-bass and breakbeat drums.

Midland first included his edit of ‘You’ll See It’ by Washed Out on his Fact Magazine mix, this sparked interest from fans of both producers and after a year of being nestled away on a hard drive the edit is finally available for free download.
After a string of well received releases on his own record label Tighten Up, A1 Bassline is to release a single on Claude VonStroke’s Dirtybird imprint. It seems like a step in the right direction for the Croydon producer who has been on our radar for the last few years.
The release of the much anticipated 2009 remix of Deadboy’s ‘Heartbreaker’ by Julio Bashmore is finally getting a vinyl release. Gathering much support over the last couple of years and first included on Bashmore’s Vice Magazine mix, the 12″ is also backed with an deeper 2010 remix.
October 1st is the first of three strong parties at the Swindon nightclub, Suju. First off we have a firm favourite amongst the house and techno heads, Design with Laura Jones. The ever popular party continues from strength to strength with bringing through prominent names in the house and techno world.
