Podcast 017: Rikki Humphrey
It’s podcast time again, this time we welcome Rikki Humphrey into the Bass Ache series to mix podcast 017. Rikki is a keen record collector with a passion for the whole electronic musical spectrum, this mix will take you on a journey through some of his favourite records. He’s been on our radar for some time now – as a DJ he is well travelled in the UK with regular gigs in Cardiff, Bristol, Manchester and Leeds. You’ll get a taste of his DJ sets in this mix with Detroit house records from Theo, Kenny, Huckaby fused with current sounds from up-and-comer Jay L next to legends Chez Damier and Ron Trent.
Having collecting and mixing records for the last 7 years, Rikki naturally moved to production in 2011 and has a release planned on UK imprint ArtfulDivision. Rikki is aiming to create a body of music that jacks your body and snaps your neck (in the good way).
