Dirty Canvas 7th Birthday @ XOYO

Dirty Canvas is one of London’s most exciting and forward thinking club night’s. We were the first club night that regularly showcased GRIME music and we are also regularly feature Dubstep, Hip-Hop, Niche and anything with bass infused. From humble beginnings at Whitechapel Art Gallery, via the Institute of Contemporary arts we are now one of the most established club nights in London. With everyone from EZ to Hot Chip, Alex Metric to Wiley, Rusko to Rodigan and everyone in between.

As we reach the ripe old age of 7th we felt we should celebrate in style drawing set from artists new & old right across the musical board.

Headlining the night we be road raps finest Sneakbo. After charting in the top 40 with ‘The Wave’ and receiving massive praises from OVOXO’s Drake, Sneakbo
is one of the UK’s fastest rising artists, with his signiture flow, vibing over
everything from Hip-Hop to Dancehall, we are certain Sneakbo will be destroying the dance on July 6th.

Following on from him we have Man Like Me spinning a rare Dj set, these two boys hailing from Camden Town share a passion for North London boozers and Old School Garage, they have been described by Dazed & Confused Magazine as ‘The Carnivalesque Kings’. From Dalston to LA, Man Like Me know how to get the dancefloor moving!

We have also invited a veteran of the music scene and an innovator of Jungle and Drum & Bass – DJ Krust. Hailing from Bristol alongside Roni Size in the Nineties, Krust was pivotal to the evolution of dance music and Drum and Bass. With titans like ‘Warhead’ and ‘Jazz Note’ – This is a booking we are all VERY
excited about.

Another sound we have be pushing very strongly over the past 7 years is Funky-House, and who else to bring the vibes than one of the most sought-after, consistent and sterling producers within the scene than Funkystepz. A massive batch of releases over the years on Kode9’s Hyperdub, and an extensive DJ
schedule, these are a trio we have been waiting to get down for a long while..

As well as guest’s, No Hats No Hoods Head Honcho & Dirty Canvas resident DJ Magic will be keeping our grime roots flowing with guest MC Chronik. A Grime lord, Tempa T’s partner in crime will be representing SLEW DEM crew at XOYO.
Alongside, fresh back on the streets is Meridian Bloodline’s Big H. Real grime. Plus a whole batch of guest MC’s will be passing through.

Tickets – £5 Early Bird / £8 Advance / MOTD -
XOYO – 32-37 Cowper Street London EC2A 4AP – Facebook Event
